Removing fittings from Cast iron radiator

Hi guys, 
I'm trying to refurbish and install 80 Yr old cast iron radiators (quebec canada).. And the fitting is just turning but not unthreading. Anyone have any experience or recommendations?! Thanks for sharing any tips.
