The house I lived in from ages 1 to 13 (1958 to 1970) had a gravity coal furnace with a stoker. The place had no insulation, so that thing would be running full-tilt, but we still had multiple blankets at night. I still have the tools for dealing with the clinkers and cleaning the ash out. Is there some sort of museum appropriate for them?
