How expensive is to replace radiant heating to spacepak heating?

The house  already has spacepak  central air and natural gas radiant. Is that better and cheaper to change radiant heating to spacepak heat instead of force air heating system? I'm not familiar with radiant heating but don't want to have big radiator in the house. Please advise.
Thanks!

Space-Pac is a high-velocity duct system that moves colder air thru the smaller ducts at faster speeds compared to a conventional duct system. But it is still a Duct System. So any heating that you might do using the Space Pac ductwork would be considered a warm air duct system. You have 2 choices for that. Electric elements can be installed in the SpacePac unit, OR you can install a water-to-air heat exchanger coil specifically designed for SpacePac high-velocity units. this will require the use of the boiler you already have to produce the hot water for the heat exchanger

I'm trying to think of why anyone would want to get rid of the comfort of radiant heat? Are you remodeling and want to remove radiators? Have you considered European-style radiant panels
or baseboard heating units? They fit in nicely with regular furniture.
I would just keep the couch a few inches away from the wall to allow the heat to flow better.

Have you ever lived in a home with forced air heat?
Have you ever lived in a home with radiant heat?

Until you experience both, you cant appreciate the better comfort level of a radiant heating system. Remember the decision you make today will be the one you live with for as long as you live there.

That said, I have lived in a home with a hydronic coil heating system as part of the air conditioning ductwork for over 25 years and it is a little better than a gas furnace heating system.

Agreed. What kind of "radiant" heat do you have now? Post some pics.............
