Hi,
I have to change out tubes on a Kawanee 3 chamber boiler~ Model # M-55-G. How do you access the lower tubes to be able to replace the tube and roll? Is there an access panel, or do I have to cut the tube sheet?

I really appreciate any help this forum can provide.

I am not familier with that particular boiler. When you say "3 chamber" do you mean 3 pass??

If the boiler is a dry back boiler you have access to the tube sheet in the front by opening the doors and by opening the rear access.

If It's a wet back boiler there is usually a manhole in the rear of the boiler to access the tube sheets

Replacing the tubes on a fire-tube boiler is not for the feint of heart. You will have to cut out and remove the tubes from the tube-sheet. Then install new tubes and and roll the ends into the tube sheet. I think this would be a job for a professional boiler maker.

As @Gilmorrie said "Replacing the tubes on a fire-tube boiler is not for the feint of heart". If you have never done it or do not have the expertise, go hire a boiler repair company to do the work. The fact that you said that it is a 3 chamber boiler tells me that you have no idea how to complete this repair. Call someone.
