EPISODE 2: Let's Mix It Up
Monday, July 27, 2020
7 - 8 pm CDT

@hot_rod will take a look 🤓 both inside and outside of mixing valves. Not sure how to size a mixing valve? Is there a rhyme or reason for a manual, thermostatic or motorized valve? And good ol' Murphy's Law: what can go wrong and how do I remedy? And, what would Hot Topics be without a LIVE demo? 😲. Want to join in the conversation? We'll open up the mic 🎤 for you. Watch out! Hot Rod may throw in a give-away or two.

Have a topic-related question? Please post it below.

During each Episode of Hot Topics, we're selecting a charity to support. Tonight we'll tally the attendees and donate $2 per each individual who tunes in. 👸 Tools & Tiaras, committed to advancing the interest of young girls and women who want to pursue non-traditional careers, is tonight's donation recipient. BOTH HeatingHelp.com and Caleffi will MATCH up to $500 in the tally for the charity!

We're just a few days away!

Not only will you learn about mixing valves from an industry expert (thanks, @hot_rod!), but we'll also donate $2 for each attendee to Tools & Tiaras, a program that encourages young people to enter the trades through education, hands-on-projects, and inspiring mentors. It's a win-win!

And did we mention there will be give-aways??

We hope you'll join us on Monday night.

    SWAG?

Hot Rod is going to ask trivia questions and the winners will get a Caleffi tee or a Dan Holohan book.

@Erin Holohan Haskell is this live stream on youtube?
    I am confused.
I just earned my GED and am looking for a apprenticeship with one of these steam gurus on this site!

Hi @hot_rod , I have a suggestion for a topic. I'd like to see something on solar thermal and how to simplify it (to reduce cost and make it user friendly) while also increasing durability. Maybe some discussion on what sort of systems fit different climates is appropriate too. :~)

    Yours, Larry

Maybe we tag team on a solar topic? I know you have seen the sun come up and go down on collectors a few times :)
