American Radiator and Sanitary Standard Steam Boiler Series 1BJ1

I have this old honker heating my house. there is a side mount tank/coil for hot water. First I'd like to know how old it is. Second, it has started filling up with water sometimes without adding any. The feeder valve is a ball valve so I don't think that is it. Could it be back feeding from the side mount if that copper coil is leaking?

Thanks

Could definitely be the coil. Might also be the ball valve. Even ball valves go bad. Coil is much more likely.

Could be the coil or the ball valve

American Radiator and Standard Sanitary merged in 1929, so the boiler is older than that. My dad worked for Standard Sanitary for a short time making toilets and that was a long time ago.
