I have the opportunity to bid a job that will be using prevailing wage rates. Hourly total for a plumber is about $96 an hour. What number should I be using as a labor rate for estimate purposes?

Check with your State Department of Commerce. They publish a "Prevailing wage table, by county. It is basically published union rates by county.joe amadio said:I have the opportunity to bid a job that will be using prevailing wage rates. Hourly total for a plumber is about $96 an hour. As I recall we used to use the published rate. If your non-union you can generally deduct for any fringe benefits, vacations, insurance etc that you provide. But as @Fred said you will have to check with your state labor board0
