    Never needed one. What happened?
On the other hand, I like the NX the least of all burners on the market.

My NX runs flawlessly. What issues does yours have?

I've discussed it before. I didn't say they don't run fine. More from a service perspective.
The main thing is I don't like that you can't adjust the air while it's running, which surprised all the Beckett engineers at the trade show 2 years ago when I showed them. If they would either not have 'the plates' as thick, or make the nozzle assembly 1/4" longer where the nozzle line connects from the fuel unit, you could loosen it and adjust your air while it's running. I just take the retention nut off so I can adjust the air while it's running. Then put on an e-clip to retain the nozzle line.
-I don't like the whole nozzle assembly/zero out the plate thing. If I'm the only one touching the burner, great. Every one I've touched after someone else, problems.
-If someone installs it in a combustion air environment that's dirty (dirt, sawdust, drier lint), becomes a real PIA to take apart/clean.
-Not a lot of tolerance on ohms-potential for nuisance lockouts.

I'd take a Riello or even the ole AF/AFII, over the NX.

If it works fine you probably got the updated throttle ring. Thinking I should keep a set of windows/throttle ring in the truck at this point.
Got a feeling Mica throttle ring will go the way of the dinosaurs.
if we can't get it these burners will be junk.

Inherited another NX today on a Buderus. Why they didn't go with a Riello is beyond me. Must get a "good deal" on the boiler.

Also got a MPO Burnham with an NX with Hago 100 45 B ? Can't remember. Anyway, special order nozzle approaching Lo-Nox prices. Minumum order of 25!

Been seeing heavy staining on the windows. Especially with Bio-blends the past few years.

@STEVEusaPA I'm so glad to hear that someone brought this issue up to Beckett. I thought it was just me, everytime I tried to adjust the burner with the spline nut on it sprays oil everywhere. Terrible design. I still like it better than the AFII. Beckett got it right with the AFG, no need for any other designs in my opinion.

Yes,yes, and yes.. I don't know why I keep finding these lately. Somebody had to get a deal on 'em

Yeah because if you try to leave the spline nut a little loose, and tighten the nozzle line, you ruin the flair.

I think the NX goal was to compete with Riello by providing a burner capable of higher pressure in the combustion chamber.
Also get that 'listed' efficiency number up high enough to look good-the same way cars now shut off at red lights so they can goose that estimated gas mileage up 1 mpg.

What I noticed was there's a small window between great combustion and horrible combustion. And although you can set it up perfect, in a less than perfect environment (specifically not always providing clean combustion air (dust/lint, etc) the ohms rise up high enough to start nuisance lockouts. The ohms are already high.
And adding enough air to prevent that leaves your efficiency number down.
The burner will pretty much only work with the Genysis control which allows the ohms to drift up higher than the others.
So I'd rather use an AFG where that works or a Riello.
But they probably made a great deal to force them on everything. Many of the appliances still have an AFG listed with an NX in the OEM spec book, unless it's a completely new (last few years) boiler/furnace.
Also they were kind enough to give you options for 6 slot or 9 slot so you have to pull the nozzle assembly first time there to see what you got, unless you can read what appears to be a 2 pt. font on the burner housing.
There's usually a Carlin or Riello option, when ordering. Funny is usually Carlin is cheaper (but not readily stocked) then Beckett.
