This little guy just couldn't help but look for a warm place to stay. A shame he couldn't make his way out before the units fan fired. The blower and the squirrel both had to be changed.

I once got a no heat call to a 90+ furnace I had installed just a week before. I removed the failed inducer to find a bird all the way inside the housing. I also had to change both. :s

I wonder how they get into the pipe? The pipe didn't have a screen on the intake?

Squirrels will yank and gnaw on that screen to get thru.

I’d better go check my intake to make sure the screen is still there

The squirrel came down the 80% exhaust pipe I do believe.

I had that, except a Radon fan. Didn't notice it was silent for a long time. Started sawing it out of the PVC pipe. Smelled bad. Hair in the saw-teeth. Then I felt bone. Got it out and I about barfed in the basement.

That's why my furnace has had air/smoke screens from the first day. And when the smoke screen started to rust out I replaced it with an SS screen.

Not a good picture to show a child anticipating Santa coming down the chimney.

Farmers Almanac is predicting a very cold winter... This must be true because all the Squirrels are gathering a record amount of nuts. So many that a few of my friends are missing.
Just checking to see if anyone of the usuals from HH are missing?
