Circulator - Boiler - Expansion Tank

I just moved into a (new to me) house. It used to have a gravity system that was converted forced circulation system. The previous owners about two years ago put in a new boiler. The setup in the direction of flow is Circulator - Boiler - Expansion Tank (bladder style, no air eliminator the tank is just connect to a tee on the line). The system seems to work fine, no noise and I have heat everywhere.

Could this cause issues in the future? Or "if it is not broke do not fix it".

Thanks for your opinions!

Take some pictures of the boiler and its piping so we can see what you have going on. Also how it ties into the old large diameter gravity system.

Because the piping in the system is oversized the expansion tank location is less critical

The silver painted pipes just tie into the large gravity header a foot outside of the picture.

Is that a big ole sheet of asbestos on the ceiling?

Yep! The joys of a 100+ year old house. (Aware of the dangers of asbestos and not to distub it, and using licensed remediators to have it removed).
