I would like to heat a small bathroom (75 sq ft )by covering the exterior of a clawfoot cast iron tub with heat matting, thinking the tub would act as a radiator.Anyone ever heard of doing this?

Kind of defeats the purpose of a clawfoot tub doesn't it? Literally any other surface in the room would give you more heat output and not look like someone glued it together IMO0

The tub is framed in and tiled, you can't see the ext. it can be accessed from the crawlspace. I thought it could keep the water warmer for long soaks, no visual heater, and be quiet, unlike toe kick heater I have now.0
