    Thanks for sharing that again, Dan. Great story. You’ve planted a lot of seeds for me and the R.M. Starbuck books were one of them. I have 6 in my collection now, and they’re not the reprints. Fun stuff. There’s even R.M. Starbuck tools on eBay.

    I wrote that story more than 20 years ago. Doug scrapped the inventory, sold the building and went to work for UConn in their Maintenance Department not long after. I haven't heard from him in many years.

    I'm glad that the telling keeps some of it alive. It was quite a place, and Doug was someone I'll never forget.
