Gas boiler with domestic hot water help.

I purchased a Westinghouse WBRCNG140W boiler with domestic hot water.
My question is, I wasn't going to use the domestic hot water section of the boiler unit.
Will this hurt anything ?
Do I need to do anything special with the water inlet/ outlet ?
Instructions/ manual absolutely doesn't say anything in regards to this.

They can be run without using the domestic side, no problem. Probably better that way in fact, the domestic side is notorious for being troublesome. With that said, I'm pretty sure I know where you bought it from and just want to warn you that the big box will not have parts for that unit and they are quite sparse online also. I have not heard of any HVAC supply house that stocks the Westinghouse as they are a knockoff of another brand and available only online and a couple big box stores. What will you be heating with it?

    GroundUp,
Yes, it was a big box purchase.
It was on sale for $2000 and has a $500 rebate.
    It'll be heating my house.
I converted from and old oil boiler to this unit.

Did you do a heat loss calculation? Your combi needs 140K BTU's for domestic hot water, not space heating. What's the turn down ratio on it?

If this boiler has a summer winter internal coil, if it does not leak, leave the pipes open, if it does leak, cap them off.
