Water surge sound when ""zone Valve opens""

A system with multiple zone valves and a single circulator will usually experience multiple demands and intermittent valve openings & closings. My system had a delta P circulator and still had issues with excessive flow noise.
I always " pump away "; the circulator mounted on the supply piping several feet past the exp tank & feed valve, and the zone valves mounted on the return piping just above the boiler......
