Out gassing of newly painted Rad's

I am installing new to me, CI rad's, plan on building a fancy wood covers eventually, they are not ornate as our existing. Thinking of adding a quick coat of spray paint in the mean time. How much out gassing of the paint should I expect? This close to heating season, don't want to gas the family!!

    They will smell for a few weeks. What water temps are you running, or are they steam?

    I guess I should have mentioned it!!! Hot water @ 180 and just using a spray can paint, maybe just a primer.

    Using a paint meant for high temp applications, such as stove paint, will minimize out gassing.

    Yes a couple of weeks, I blasted, primed, and two coats of emamal. All automotive products. Smelled for at least two weeks. Your 180 degree water will "bake it on" faster then an outdoor reset mod/con at 100 degrees!
