Here is my primary secondary loop with taco sentry valves.

How bad is it?

Looks good however there should be more straight pipe before and after the Ts before the elbows. This will cause true hydraulic separation. PM me for the formula we use.

I ran out of room. is there anything wrong with doing it in black pipe? in the W/M it also said max between the tees is 12 inch center to center, do you want to come close to that as possible or use a close nipple in between?

The space between the Tee's is fine. What I think @NYplumber is saying is the primary return should be longer before it makes any turns, and the secondary manifold should also have a longer run before any turns.

Me not being a hydronic Guru by any means, I'd assume the benefits will be restricted but not lost.
Moving the secondary circuit to a wall would have given you more freedom.

And black pipe is fine. Makes a nicer looking install IMO.

hvac nut, I knew he meant longer after the close tee's, I just wanted to be clear on the middle of close tee's in any event it was better then before.
not to change the subject but I posted this in a face book page and a few guys where telling me that cast iron will rust. I was like no way back in he 50 everything was black pipe.

You will be fine here with the iron. so long as there is no fresh water in the system and no pex that doesnt have an o2 barrier you will be fine. The boiler is a ferrous material just like the black pipe and you dont hear about hydronic boilers leaking every day from normal use.
