Definitely a hernia waiting to happen. It's one of them up at the front of the Notre Dame cathedral in Ottawa. I wouldn't want to be the guy that has to move it one day. This run of piping connects it to the boiler

That run of piping is a radiator. Nice find!

I figured that. This set up has a twin on the opposite side going to just as big of a rad. The first picture is of the entrance to the church. At the back of the pews, there are 4 boxes of 1inch coils, similar to the indirect steam coils I've seen posted here. The boxes are about 4' long, 3' high and about 2' deep. They had the upper levels closed off to the public, so no pictures from up there. The 2nd pic is of my daughters and a rad right at the front that doesn't have a twin on the opposite side. And no, they wouldn't let me see the boiler room, I asked ;)
P.S. I added a couple of pictures of the stained glass, for any fans besides myself out there

Thank you @Dan Holohan , all girls, I'm the only boy in the house. Something you're familiar with, eh? Wouldn't have it any other way.

Besides the pipes for the radiators, there's another set I'd like to experience- the pipe organ. Do they ever play it during tours?

    Very nice building, and children!
Here is a shot of the stained glass skylight above our staircase, c.1885), before, and after the hailstorm which hit 50% of the picture area in the middle. Straight through the 1/4 inch outer skylight, hit by baseball sized hail. The slate roof was damaged as well-repairs starting soon I hope.
It’s now being painstakingly repainted and restored by a local expert.—NBC

I believe it's only during mass but I could be wrong. We weren't on an organised tour when we visited, it's open during the week to look around.
Here's the website that has some better lit pictures of the organ level

Too bad, if true. That would be worth hearing.

Let us know if you can finagle a boiler room tour!

Imagine back in the day the guy(s) who shoveled mountains of coal in the boilers to feed all of that iron! Wow, and wow, beautiful place and you have beautiful daughters too!

Thanks @Solid_Fuel_Man Yeah, that's back breaking all around. First, you bring those monsters in and then you feed the boiler coal. Different lifestyle, for sure.

No chance on seeing the boiler room, @Steamhead I did ask. They only let you see the ground floor and parts of the basement that get used. Security is tight with it being in eyesight of Parliament and the American embassy.

I would love to have some stained glass windows in my house but that skillset will have to wait until I retire. Until then, I'll appreciate others work
