HP water heater, cooler basements

It's pretty clear the HPWH cools the surrounding area in the basement. Has anyone had any issues with some basements getting 'too cool' and the hp not working so well? There hasn't been a problem with our stuff yet, just wondering if there's some concerns out there to be mindful of.

    I wanted to install one in my GFs condo to get rid of and 80 gallon electric energy sucker. But the basement is tiny and the water heater is in a closet behind louvered doors so I am very leery about air flow around a hp. So I guess the beast will stay until it quits or she moves.

    + I really am not looking forward to getting an 80 gallon stone lined Vaughn up the stairs LOL

    Probably enough thermal energy from foundation and other appliances to offset. Those units are stupid big though. I remember stocking those on a order picker in my Lowe’s days, hated them as they were top heavy and extra wide.

    Don’t some manufacturers make them to vent out side so your blowing cold air out side?
