The current building management knows nothing about the system. I am curious if any of you east coast guys who see so much more of this can estimate age of the system.

    Looks like a mix of stuff. The Honeywell remote-bulb control in that one pic is probably 1940s or earlier.

    Unusual to see vents on the roof like that. If that were in Baltimore or north of here, I'd say they were originally put there to heat a roof-mounted water tank so it wouldn't freeze. But San Francisco apparently doesn't get that cold...............

    The one vent is a Trane. Not sure when they stopped making that model, but I've seen 1930s Trane systems where the original Trane vents were different.
