House Steam Boiler starts only after a few minutes delay

Here is my problem:
1. My steam boiler starts on a first thermostat call.
2. Everything works normal.
3. In a few minutes Pressuretrol shows pressure rise and as pressure reaches 3 psi it cuts the boiler.
4. Boiler shuts down. In a minute pressure goes down to 0.
5. Automatic Air draft damper opens up.
6. Boiler does not start. It takes 10-15 minutes before boiler starts again.

What is my problem? Why do I have this delay?
I do not believe that I had this time delay last season.
Thanks.

What type of thermostat do you have?
What type of low water cut off do you have?

Is the pigtail to the pressure control clean.
The gauge may sense the drop in pressure but if the pigtail is partially plugged it may be slow to sense the loss of pressure.

Great point about a clogged pigtail.
I will check on this tonight
    Thx. Keep you posted.

If the auto air damper drives open I would think the pressure control is calling the burner on.

    Guys,
    thanks for your help.
In fact this was a partially clogged pigtail.

Thanks for the feedback.....everyone appreciates hearing.
Your pressure gauge must not be on the same pigtail.
    Probably a self protected gauge.

You might try to adjust your pressure lower if possible.

Once again. Thanks for your perfect troubleshooting.
    For final clarification:
    1. The Pressure gauge is indeed on the same pigtail as the Pressuretrol.
    2. My opinion: the clogged pigtail created a "delay" for Pressuretrol sensor. Surprisingly the pressure gauge is more sensitive than Pressuretrol.
