Cleaning a pilot assembly

I was posting to see what can be used to clean a pilot assembly that has become completely
Fouled by low propane gas pressure. Normally I would replace the pilot assmbly, and start new however according to the manufacturer the part is no longer available. Thanks to all.

I've always used water followed by air.

I take the 1/4" tubing off the bottom, the pilot orifice may fall out,
If so then air thru the burner and tubing. If it doesn't fall out, backflowing air thru the burner may send it to places unkown.

The orifice itself might get cleaned with a torch tip cleaner or a very small copper wire.
Don't lose the orifice or forget it.......ask me how I know.

Very small torch broach, starts out a hair thickness and gets thicker at its base.
