See pictures below of an old spencer boiler that's in the basement of my apartment building.
Does anyone know around how old this is?

They made those between the 1920s and 1940s. What boiler is there now?

The oil burner business was booming, and like many other corporations, GM wanted a piece of the action. But after most people who were going to convert from coal to oil had done so, the market shrank drastically, and many manufacturers got out or shut down.

Same thing happened in the personal computer industry. Who remembers AST, Northgate and Zeos?
