Saw these two items in a boiler
Room in a home built in the 1940's just wondering what they are The first is a chamber that the gas line to the boiler is screwed into at the top, and bottom. The second is a manifold device that all the baseboards zones connect to. This I was going to take out, and install electric zone valves. Right now the house has one thermostat that controls the whole system. Thanks to all.

Not sure about the gas line chamber, but the other device looks like some sort of manifold/air separator. Is there a name on it?
