With a Gorton 5 vent, straight connection. Downside is the Gorton is painted gold in this style, but they work well.

I don't have much respect for the "Danfoss" vent they sell, I think it's made by someone else and it's not a good quality vent.

There is a green clip button on there. What does that do?

I am very very happy with my system modification. Upstairs, downstairs, and thermostat are now all within a couple of degrees of each other. Day and night. I wish I had done this 25 years ago.
