Need a lot more information than this. What type of system? When you refer to heater to you mean the part making the heat or the part emitting the heat? Is this a single family dwelling or an apartment/condo?

Hi and thanks for your feed back on a Repco GM - Series Gas Fired Boiler. 1. Pilot does not like to stay lit after lighting and depressing for the minute and goes out upon letting the pilot valve. 2. There is absolutely no electrical power to the unit. #. Should a power failure occur to the unit, is there an automatic shut down of the pilot light. The stove dryer and hot water heat are fine. Thanks again eh!

I am unfamiliar with that brand, however it sounds like a thermocouple, or if there really is no power to the unit at all, maybe a thermopile. The safety in the later case is that the gas valve is powered by the heat generated in the pilot flame via the thermopile. If the pilot goes out, there is not power to open the gas valve. Can you take some pictures?

Found a thread that may be of some relevance to you, sounds like Repco is gone for a long time now.
