    That's an earlier version of a gas-fired radiator. There was a layer of water in the bottom of the unit. The round device in the gas piping is a regulator which varied the gas input according to how much steam pressure was in the rad. Most of these were unvented- the exhaust went right into the room- so they would not meet most modern Codes.

    I can't see who made this one, but the James Clow company made lots of these things.

    I would never compare Frank to Trump.

    About the only similarity is that I would not be afraid to fire someone who didn't measure up............

    That of course was not my goal. I was just trying to point out, in a joking way about something I feel is important...passing all of that unique knowledge and experience to the next generation.
