starting in loopcad is one better than the other i opted to do the cooling loads simultaneously for minisplits later so thats a factor its a 4story 4500 sf radiant heated in nyc ny

the program can run both in background if man j is as good w radiant0 -
heat loss is heat loss whether its for radiant or warm air....i think the loopcad helps you determine whether the radiant will satisfy the heat load or add supplemental heat. i have used the loopcad for multiple radiant and snowmelt jobs great results ....i have also done these jobs without itASM Mechanical Company

Correct, only MJ8 does cooling loads. You can switch between MJ8 and ASHRAE on the heating side. There are some differences in the calculations, but from a designer standpoint the real difference is different climate databases and differing abilities to create custom roof/ceiling assemblies.0
