Depends on the boiler, CO2 could be a little higher but that isn't bad

What Robert said- and what did the smoke test show? Should be ZERO.

Not sure of the boiler, but the stack temp is pretty high. Usually like to see around 325 or so. What is the carbon monoxide readings?

Did you gradually close the air gate until you just started to get smoke, then open it a bit to eliminate the smoke? If so, what was the CO2 reading at that point?

    And what model Weil-McLain?

"Air Gate" is sort of a generic term. The air adjustments on that burner are made at the combustion head for high fire and the low-fire air shutter, rather than the modulating mechanism. You still want to find out where you start making smoke. That's the reference point you start from. Your test equipment should have a device for measuring smoke levels- often this is a simple hand pump that draws flue gases thru a special filter paper, as has been done for generations. Any discoloration at all means you're making smoke.

If you don't have the manual for this burner, the Carlin folks should be more than happy to send you one. They do a great job of supporting their burners.

If you're new at this, get some training. We all did, and it shows. There are quite a few good options, but I like George "Firedragon" Lanthier's courses the best.
