Hello, anyone have an idea on this tube? It was set up with all brass, no iron. It's currently attached to a stand alone water heater. I need to set up a HX or it this is really o2 barrier i can save the guy some money.
Thanks, Gary

Gary ,
Can you confirm that this tubing is not installed in the infamous Radiantec open direct type system ?You didn't get what you didn't pay for and it will never be what you thought it would .

Rich I don't know what that is, I've always done things the 'normal' way. The home owner has some unusual expression from 'flush and pump' (my best guess at the phrase he used). I didn't feel the urge to quiz him- I always have home owners popping phrases on me i've never heard. Sound like it may be what you're describing though?!0

I just searched that phrase
http://www.radiantec.com/systems-sources/open-system.php
this system has its own water heater. There are two water heaters total (one for heat one for hw). It has an Extrol ST15 exp tank, watts 9D and 1156.0 -
Pretty sure that is non barrier tubing as that internet wonder pushes water heaters and open systems are its modus operandi. I wonder if that tubing even meets the NSF requirement...
Regardless, treat it as non barrier.
MEIt's not so much a case of "You got what you paid for", as it is a matter of "You DIDN'T get what you DIDN'T pay for, and you're NOT going to get what you thought you were in the way of comfort". Borrowed from Heatboy.1 -
Seems to be the case, Googled it and nothing.0
