Boiling feedwater

Dropping pressure and water level to replace a leaky tridicator on a hot water boiler. I know I need to boil the new water to remove dissolved oxygen. Do I just bring it up to 15 PSI and then jumper the burner to reach 250F (boiling point at that PSI)? I'm assuming I leave the circulator and zone valves off while doing this.

Thanks.

unless you have no air vent/ or a place to bleed at baseboard such a small amount may not cause a problem. I have replaced them and didn't have an issue. and 12-15 should be ok

Don't bring the water temp up that high after the work is done. Cool the boiler off as much as possible. The cooler the water, the less convection. This will allow you to pull a better vacuum on the system. Isolate whatever you can, cover any controls, burner, etc with plastic that may be in the line of fire. You shouldn't need to drain the system, so there shouldn't be much of an air issue. Close any auto vents if you have them, start to feed water back in slowly, then open them up
