Anyone have any stats? AHR releases furnace, A/C and water heater shipments but not boilers? TIA

    The last time I did research on finding those kinda stats I only got numbers on the markets share of new hydronic systems being installed compared to forced air and numbers where sad to see. About 9%-12% on the hydronic side.

    I did some research just about a week ago to try to find out what the US market is and what the Market share is for the major Boiler manufacturers as well as the trends for each manufacturer over the past 10 years. I did find a site that claimed to have that data but would not let me preview any of it and wanted something like $149.00 to subscribe.

    What ever that share is, would it be safe to say that 75% of that share is replacement boilers to existing steam, or hydronic systems?

    I'd bet more like 90%

    I recall some data in the recent U.S Boiler Report (Burnham) newsletter maybe. As I remember something like 10- 12 million cast boilers in service and 1/3 of all new boilers sales are cast. Maybe ring them up for some data.

    Since 2015 is not finished, here is 2014.
    Not much change expected (2%), with exception to more of a shift to wall hungs in replacement of floor lower efficient and high efficient floor.
    North America: 480,000 (420,000 US)
    This number only grew 7% in 5 years, not matching construction so, the market share would be replacement which is slipping too.

    Combis grew 500% in 5 years!
