1925 Cast Iron Rads for Sale, Ornate, Unpainted

Options
I've got 5 decorative rads for sale. They came out of a 1925 house. I think they're Hot Water (not steam).

Sizes:
68"-22 fins
48" -14 fins
40"-13 fins
40"-13 fins
12"-4 fins

I'm about an hour West of St. Louis, MO. They're disconnected and ready to go! Three are outside already and two are just inside the front door. Need to go ASAP. :) Call if interested, 57three-35o-OneThousand.

They're American "Rococo" radiators. Why were they removed?

  • When we bought the house (a couple months ago) they were disconnected and partially moved, but per the Seller's disclosure they do work. There's a central heat/AC system in the home, so we're making space.
I think removing the rads might have been an "abandoned project" by the former owners. I don't blame them... these suckers are HEAVY! :)

The sellers made a poor choice. I pray someone close can rescue these and use them and enjoy the comfort that you are losing.

  • @KC_Jones I agree. But we knew the heating situation when we bought. :( I hope someone out there will need them for their restoration. They're beautiful radiators.

I'd be all over those if you were closer to me.

I agree with KC. A SIN they were removed. If NJ was near you, I'd be in my truck as we speak...

They are heavy, and all that mass holds the heat beautifully. To the original owner......."A fool and his money are soon parted".

Are these still available near Kansas City and might consider a road trip if they are still available.
  • Yes, still available! Just sent you a message, Kniggit.
