Copper Piping and Sulfuric Acid

I have to do some supply piping at a tree nursery. They inject sulfuric acid into the water that feeds the trees. How will that play with copper?

    I doubt you will have and problems in the short term but over time you might have problems. Why not use a plastic product? BTW, I'm not a plumber but I am an analytical chemist by trade.

    Thanks guys.

    The dilution ratio is 1 part sulfuric acid to 1,280 parts water. The main purpose is to lower the PH of alkaline water.

    If it's just to neutralize the water close to pH 7 you should be fine with copper. If you have sustained pH below 7 I wouldn't worry as much about the copper as I would the solder.

    Thanks for your advice. I think I will go with type-l copper and propress. From everything I'm seeing and hearing, I should be fine.
