cleaning boiler`house keeping pad

in THE MAIN WALL
We are in the process of replacing a boiler in which the heat exchanger
cracked on the old boiler. As a result the concrete housekeeping pad is covered in a red clay color.I don want to set the new boiler on this, and wanted to know if anyone knows what would clean this up I assume some type of acid will take care of it.Any suggestions would be much appreciated.Thanks to all

    I would try a mild acid wash to see what comes out, then either dye it or epoxy paint.

    Might be able to bust it up, and put down new blocks to fit the new boiler. They aren't poured monolithic with the floor slab typically. A lot of times once they start succumbing to a rotary hammer, they practically walk away

    CLR would probably do it, or just paint over it
