LP tank rust?

I have a customer who I have done a good deal of work for.
They have a 30 yr old buried gas tank that the LP supplier says in rusting....fair enough.
Besides changing out the tank they also want to replace the 50' copper line because they are concerned that the "rust" in the tank may have contaminated the line.
Customer is put out as the line runs by the leach field and there are extensive flower gardens... lots of damage.
I realize the LP supplier is just covering themselves anyone ever heard of rust contaminating LP?

Is there a regulator on the tank? They often have a fairly fine mesh strainer in them.

Pressure test the line -- something like 24 hours at 50+ PSI would allow me to sleep soundly.

That's crap the line should be fine. The regulators have screens. I know of underground unprotected copper lines older then that. That are still working fine. Then can put a compressor on the line blow it out and then put a pressure test on it if they are that concerned.
