I have an Amtrol Boilermate storage tank off a Mclane boiler. The bottom is leaking and It looks like I have to replace the gasket. Has anyone else ever had to do this? Is it as straight forward as it looks?

Depending on the age of the unit and how long it has been leaking you may be better off just going w/ a new unit.
I have tried to do this 1 time before w/ the top down version and had poor luck w/ it sealing up.

Call a rep, run the serial#. Generally it is a bottle issue, and not a gasket. They have gone downhill last 15 or so years. I have a customer on his 4th within 5 years of the original instal. I have one in my own home close to 30 years old with never an issue. I have switched, I am thinking so should you0
