Bleeding fuel-line and pump

Hi I have a Rhino oil boiler. I needed to bleed the fuel line and mistakenly used the pressure needle-valve in the pump to do this rather than the bleed outlet.

I have been successful in bleeding the line and the boiler seems to be running fine. Is the setting of the needle-valve critical, as I have only returned it to approximate setting. What happens if it is 'out of tune'?

    I am assuming that you was turning what looks like a screw slot on the pump which is for pump pressure setting? You need to have this set by someone with a gauge and knowledge. Each unit is different, so pump pressures vary.

    Thanks Bill - yup a needle-valve adjusted with a screwdriver. OK - at least the boiler runs and I'll get a heating engineer on the job. Thanks :smile:
