Munchkin questions, air switch?

Munchkin experts, I am trying to compile all my notes (not many, but a small collection) from the last 10 or 12 years. One question that lingers, the earlier M-series had an air switch, and when the board gets replaced the air switch is no loner needed? If anyone can please comment on that I'd be grateful. The Munchkin tech confirmed this for me but I didn't think he wanted to go into an explanation for me.
Thanks, Gary
Thanks, Gary

Correct. I believe they now monitor hall pulse output from the DCECM blower motor (EBM Pabst) as a means of blower operation verification.
V1 didn't have the ability to monitor the blower wheel rotation and needed a pressure switch to verify blower operation before going into ignition/combustion sequence.
Chuck Shaw would know for sure. He used to work on them extensively for HTP when he was an employee. Now works for Navien.
