If your using the peerless 30 gallon water heater, and you where going to instal it using 140 degrees water with one inch copper and you have 3.5 gpm going throw it, how many gallons can u get out of the indirect?

    Its more complicated than this but, for short bus mathematicians, you take the size of the tank (30 gallons) and the outflow (3.5 GPM) for 60 minutes (210 gallons in an hour) so it is supposed to deliver 240 Gallons per hour. The actual number is higher because during that hour, hot water is being made, and it depends on what the tank temperature is and what temperature you want the water to be.

    Its a comparative standard. Like Miles Per Gallon.

    For the 'real' answer you need many variables like icesailor was saying.

    Boiler temp (is it cold start, and is the heating call on a outdoor reset), boiler output rating, aqaustat on indirect setting, mixing value setting, and anticipated DHW flow rating.
    I think that's the full meal deal requires to give the accurate answer? Ice, all those variables seem right to you?
