Hello!

This is a residential hot water heating system with an odd manifold. Each radiator is piped directly to the manifold. Does anyone have any information on what this is and how it works? There are no identifying characters on the manifold.

I apologize for the poor quality of the photo.

Thank you for any assistance you may be able to provide!

Is there a pump on the system and does it heat. If it heats leave it alone.

Any chance you could get a better photo for the heating museum?

I,think a little chrome, or a 4 bladed prop could go a long way with the imagination.

I ran into a system simalar to this about 20 years ago .It had a copper mainifold and if i remenber correctly they had ran 1/2 od copper to wall convectors .HO said it never worked correctly ,they also had a few baseboard zones added over the years and the system used one pump on the return and zone valves I seperatored the zones and added 2 pumps on thew supply one for the mini tube and another for the baseboard zones .When i got done the HO stated that it was the first time in 15 years of living there that the second floor convectors even got warm .That system was the first home run system i had ever seen nor most of the guys i work with had .I did run into another that also was simalar which was a oil fired boiler ,difference being they used 3/8 od tubing yeah i know 3 /8 but they had small convectors and alot of them like 2 in each small bedroom and like 4 in the living room .It was a crying shame to replace and put in baseboard but can t argue w those who pay .Nice to see some thing old and odd like myself thanks for posting peace and good luck clammy
