electric heater circulator

I remember there being a device made by Laing that housed a 2 KW electric heater and a circulator together in one appliance. Has Laing been bought out? Do these appliances still exist. I find myself in a situation where one might be useful. Thanks in advance for any info concerning this.

I remember that too.....My guess is that Xylem/ B&G bought them out.

I don't think that unit is available anymore. I can't even find replacement parts on line.

The ehr, epr, and epm. Laing had some good stuff those were unique, and handy products for single room, and apartment size applications. So long as the KW are cheap.

We could sell those today. Take the same castings, put the e-Series motors on them, throw in a couple of control options and you have a major hit on your hands.

They tended to be a bit sensitive. I installed a handful and had limit switch problems and a couple burned out elements. Didn't take much of an air pocket to stop flow, then temperature lockout occurred.

Same with burned elements, an air pocket at the top of the unit would take out the element quickly.
