What numbers are you guys using to calculate the water temps on a Radiant installation that utilized those ill fitting beer can plates.

Is it close to suspended tubing or a little better?

Are they 16 ouncers, or the 32 ounce howitzers in a brown paper bag. :D

If it looks like the ones a guy was advertising on here that the tube looked like it did not even touch the plate....Rrrr aaa beer can, and poor floor contact . Suspended tube numbers for sure. I see no benefit to count on.

Haha, 32oz howitzers, lol... I'll need a couple of those before I'm done here!

I'm thinking calculating as suspended. Thanks for the confirmation.

They currently run 180 degree water through it. They had at one point set an ODR curve to try an alleviate short cycling. To there dismay they no longer had DHW! The DHW is tied in as a zone on a taco relay with no separate DHW signal to the boiler, lol...

As I thought from your post the cleaner Harvey good luck. I suppose it's a condensing boiler too?

You guessed it! A short cycling 180 deg. micro zoned low mass mod-con.

The advertised plates DID come in contact with the tubing. They just had to zig zag the tubing so that it touched the plates! :p
