in Gas Heating
I have a Utica MGB-175 boiler with three Honeywell zone valves. I would like to install a controller to get rid of the rats nest bunch of wires I have now. Would the Taco ZVC-403-4 be good for this setup

Yes indeed. Very clean and simple to wire up.
I used one today in fact.0 -
If you buy the ZVC-403-4 exp model you can add outdoor reset to it easily with Taco PC700.
Depending on where you live, there are rebates for aftermarket outdoor reset from gasnetworks.com
