Y strainers on one pipe steam system

I made a "menorah" of 4 Gorton #1s. I would like to put a y strainer between the vent riser from the main and the "menorah." Does it make a difference if the clean out plug faces up or down? I was wondering if by facing down it would fill with condensate. If it fills with condensate would you just have to open the clean out plug once a week or is there something better than a y strainer to protect your vents?
Thanks
Thanks

I did not make this post. I do not have a steam system, so I would have very little use for a Gordon valve.
Likewise, what would this post have to do with Y strainers?
I wonder what happened.0 -
well that's weird......LOL!

Yeah, when I read the original post I was wondering why JDB was asking about his steam system. It must have been a glitch in the changeover.0

No hard feelings. I have dealt with computer systems in the past, and thing do not surprise me very often anymore.
