I realize Burnham says no to this. As I read the code I see no reason aside from loss of warranty to not do it. As it is not endorsed by Burnham they do not give any advise on burner specs. If anyone can steer me a bit on this I would appreciate it. Tim you say it can be done well and I trust your word, just looking for a little advise before I proceed.

    Hi Charlie,

    Here's a post that deals with that exact question AND a link to Eric Reynolds post about his actual install. I believe he got his stuff through simplyplumbing as Karen originally told me about it. I had considered doing it, but given the difficulty I had getting someone to hook up my gas conversion powerburner with an APPROVED burner,I'm gladIi didn't. Please be sure to post any results for those that follow, although I hope I don't need a replacement for many, MANY years. :) Colleen

    Since this boiler has more back pressure in the chamber, you may need to go with one orifice size bigger than expected. The air adjustment will be determined by your combustion numbers. That's all I've found to be special about converting these. We converted one last month with good results. I don't see what the fuss is all about coming from Burnham.
