Radiator identification needed to get EDR.

Can anyone help me figure out the EDR for this radiator? It is approximately 18" high, 50" long and 2.75" wide. The radiator is made of sections of cast iron (I assume) slanted fins (see picture).

    That looks like a SunRad or something similar behind a cabinet. It's probably close to 50 EDR. If you can count the sections, multiply that number by 2.25 for the rating. Any chance of getting the cover off for a picture?

    Aero Convector from National Radiator Company?

    The left had side of the radiator says Aero Convector, which might be a National Radiator Company product. Can anyone confirm that?



    The radiator has 24 sections book-ended on each side. Not certain if I should include the book-ends in the EDR calc. The first picture below shows one of the "book-ends" next to the air vent. It has fins on one side. The center sections each have fins on both sides. So..is this 24, 25 or 26 sections?



    Also, are you certain it is 2.25 per section? I would have guessed less considering how thin it is (front to back - I said 2.75" but it's more like 3").



    It is a very cool radiator!

    EDR estimate

    Hi Steamhead,



    I don't have Dan's book, unfortunately. I'm thinking that the EDR for our radiator is about 40, maybe about 1.7 per section. I tried to extrapolate from the other Aero radiator, which seemed slightly smaller. Does that seem reasonable?
