    From what I been reading

Union should be going on the riser.

I have a question of material, could I do this with mega press?

    I remember you asking

and that's not bad- in fact, it's a whole lot better than 95% of what we find out there.

The pic isn't as clear as I'd like, so I'm not 100% sure of a couple things.

1- it looks like you have one 2-inch takeoff from the header that tees off in the ceiling to feed two mains. I would have used an individual takeoff for each main, or a 2-1/2" riser from a 2-1/2" header (see #2 below) up to the tee, to keep the velocity down in the takeoffs so there's less chance of pulling water up into them.

2- it looks like the header itself is 2-inch. Even though it isn't mandatory, I would have used a 2-1/2-inch header. This does a better job of drying out the steam by slowing its velocity.

But as I say, I usually see a lot worse. Even better if this was your first try.

    Megapress

It would probably work, but I would never do it.

    thanks steamhead

It was first try and thanks for the tips.I cut in main vents as there wasnt any and will address the issue of tying everything of one tee. Thanks for your help and comments.I wanted a 21/2 header but I couldnt get the fittings.I kept everything 2" hopefully that helps.

    header

We have a friend that has an IN5 piped with a single 2" riser into a 2" header and it does ok so I'd bet two 2" into a 2" header will fine as well.  I think Gateway Plumbing and Heating did it for her after the original installer thought propress without a header was a good idea and refused to fix it.  That was the first time I was near a steam boiler that actually scared me.

What did you use as thread sealant?  Dope, tape, RTV?  After doing mine with megaloc, and in some places megaloc and blue monster tape and spending months trying to get the oils out I'd be tempted to try black RTV.  I think Gerry Gill had used nothing but RTV on his own system.

Have you fired it up yet?
