Floor Sensing Thermostat

I have a quick question regarding floor sensing stats.

We have used them for years in concrete with great success but I have recently been given a house plan where the upstairs will be using Heatlink's Dry Above system which is a version of warmboard. Would there be any sense in adding a floor sensing stat?

I know wood is an insulator and I am starting to wonder if it would be even less accurate that reading just the ambient air.

Any thought?

    You can. Do it all the time. You can get them where they are programmable, sense floor temp, air temp or a combination of both. Very common when you have radiant with Hydro Air as backup or the consumer is looking for just floor warming..
