Master Circ pump + one for each zone?

in Oil Heating
I am a little confused by this video showing circulator pump replacement. Each zone has a circulator, so why is there one master circ pump in-line here? I thought you would only have one master circ pump if you were using zone valves but that doesn't appear to be the case here. Thanks...

    It appears...

    The black circ is on the boiler loop. It circulates water thru the boiler when any zone calls for heat.

    I/O Manuals:

    Do ya' think that is piped like the Weil-McLain manual calls for in a Primary Secondary piping scheme?

    Looks like another variation on that "Closely Spaced Tee's" theory.

    IE: Close is that it is in the boiler room. NOT 4 to 6 pipe diameters apart.
