I always sleeved my pipe with steel pipe when going through weight bearing walls etc and this is how i was taught,2 pipe sizes larger. That was in nyc. Now working on long island and all I see is pvc sleeves .which practice is right?

Both
Both practices are right depending on where your working and unless the the manufacturer of the pipe states that it has to be sleeved in a certain way.0 -
Correct
I think the first practice is the correct one. It is more safe and durable than the pvc sleeves.0
